At the start, the light or God as he would come to be known created the race of man. The darkness upon seeing the love between the light and his creation grew jealous, she wished for the same for herself. With this thought in mind she created the race known as Dark Ones. Both races lived together upon Earth for a time, but man feared those which dwelled in the dark. That fear slowly turned to hatred. And that hatred would lead the race of man to kill the king and queen of the dark ones, a feat they would not have accomplished without one of the dark ones own betraying them and telling man how it may be done.
The darkness and the light both grew enraged by this act. The light going as far as to take the sun away from the race of man. If they feared the dark so much it turned their hearts to hate, then they would have to live within it until such times as they learned neither it, nor those whom dwelled within it were necessarily evil. Dark Ones thrived in this environment and over time man's hatred morphed into awe and worship, they began treating the dark ones as gods. A fact that the dark ones milked for all it was worth.
Siona was born to the Leonidas bloodline around this time. And unlike many females, chooses not to fit simply into the submissive role dictated. In dark one society males are viewed as the dominant, with females often submitting to the strongest male in her life. Not Siona though, she's rebellious, stubborn and tends to have a rather dominating personality all of her own. It's something that in many ways will likely get the female into trouble. Especially once The Trinity rose to power and the rules which governed their people became harsher.
However, The Trinity only remained in power so long, after thwarting the rebellion attempted by Candra, the sister of one of the members. They were eventually usurped from power by a dark one by the name of Azmyth, whom claimed the role of sole king. It was during this time that the dark ones began to torment and even enslave the humans, or perhaps they were already doing that, whatever the reason, demons were created to become the protectors of humans after the angels, who were unable to intervene begged God to assist.
This arrangement was perfect...until it wasn't, the demons couldn't free every slave or protect every human from the torment that the dark ones still inflicted. Most humans still viewed the dark ones as gods after all. Eventually the demons became yet another tormentor for the humans. Causing a human girl named Sara Jean to climb the tallest mountain and request of God a weapon with which they might defend themselves. Moved by the speech God returned to them the sun. This caused the dark ones to flee to another realm after discovering the sun's rays were harmful to them.
This arrangement was perfect...until it wasn't, the demons couldn't free every slave or protect every human from the torment that the dark ones still inflicted. Most humans still viewed the dark ones as gods after all. Eventually the demons became yet another tormentor for the humans. Those dark ones that were strong and powerful found that while stepping out into the sun does weaken them, it does not outright kill them. A fact many used as an excuse to return to earth and steal human slaves. Siona herself certainly made frequent trips, gaining herself several human pets, which she whisked back to the realm her kind now called home. She fed them her blood, a common practice usually exchanged between lovers as it was said to enhance the bond. Though only in small amounts. Allowing them to go their separate ways if they choose without negative impact. Too much made the drinker addicted to the dark ones blood, dependant upon it to the point they would go insane if they were to cease drinking it. Siona knows this fact, it's for this reason that she makes them drink until they are dependant upon it.

This is a ploy she enacts to keep her pets from leaving her, leading them to believe they need her blood to exist in any semblance of a sane manner. This is not entirely true, the blood of one Dark One can be used to replace the blood of another and still satisfy the craving. But what they don't know won't hurt them. Right? Completely obedient to her whims, fearing that they won't get their fix of her addictive blood should they not obey. Several of her pets, males and females alike have willingly allowed themselves to be used for the dark one's pleasure, including becoming her lovers.
She's aware of things that happen upon earth, the creation of Sol and her subsequent demon killing spree. She's even aware of the creation of the covenant. Not that she believes it's rules have any sway over her, her kind after all reside outside of earth. It's an opinion she's sure many dark ones share.
